This abortion method consists of two medications that are taken separately to chemically induce a miscarriage up to 12.6 weeks. The first medication is given to you in our facility. The second medication will be provided to you at your appointment to take at home.

Surgical abortions done in the first trimester (14 weeks) are safe, quick, and highly effective. One method is with local anesthesia in which an anesthetic agent (lidocaine) will be administered to numb the cervix before the procedure begins. You will be awake for the procedure and may feel some uterine cramping. However, you do not need a driver to take you home.

Twilight is local anesthesia with the use of oral medications, such as tranquilizers and pain medications, to attempt to alleviate all pain and anxiety from the procedure. With twilight you will need a driver to take you home.
